

Business Operations Assistant
Utah Shakespeare Festival

Amy currently serves as the Business Operations Assistant for the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Over the past year, she has streamlined purchasing card processes, resulting in improved audit outcomes and more organized expense reporting. Additionally, she analyzed and updated hiring procedures, enhancing workflow efficiency across the entire organization. Amy also serves as the Artistic Assistant for the Words Cubed New Play Development Program, where she increased efficiency in the program's processes by adding it to Airtable, a cloud-based collaboration and productivity platform.
Manager & Grant Writer
Orchestra of Southern Utah
Amy played violin and viola with the Orchestra of Southern Utah for five years before transitioning to the administrative side. In her original role, she managed front-of-house operations for concerts, oversaw online ticketing, coordinated school visits and educational guests for the annual Children’s Jubilee concert, cultivated relationships with local businesses to secure donations for the yearly fundraiser, and contributed to a variety of operational and administrative tasks that supported the orchestra's success. As of April 2024, Amy manages the musicians, plans concerts, writes grants and contracts, conducts community outreach, plans the season budget, and undertakes numerous other responsibilities in arts administration and management.

Administrative Director
Suzuki Strings Cedar City
Amy serves as the Administrative Director for Suzuki Strings Cedar City, a small music nonprofit. In this role, she oversees all administrative functions, including managing registration, coordinating communications, developing long-term financial plans, writing grants, arranging guest clinicians, and assisting with the planning of concerts and fundraising events.


Educator
Amy started her education journey teaching preschool music. She has since taught elementary music, middle and high school choir, done a long term sub for third grade, taught two years of special education, and three years of online English as a Second Language courses. Most of her teaching experience has been in the private sector including running her own music studio teaching violin and viola, as the assistant director for a touring children’s choir traveling to Carnegie Hall in New York City and to Italy, as the music director for elementary school musicals, and teaching group strings classes and beginning orchestra.
